ABC/Todd Wawrychuk(NEW YORK) -- Just how big a producer is Shonda Rimes? Big enough that an epic group photo of the casts from her biggest shows is being featured in Entertainment Weekly, Essence, and People.

The casts of ABC's Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder and Grey's Anatomy -- 33 people in all -- shuttled into the Jewel Suite at the New York Palace earlier this year to shoot the photo, featuring every series regular from the ABC Thank God It's Thursday line-up.

The cast members appear in black, white and even navy blue, while Rhimes herself stands out in the center of the shot in a red dress, flanked by leading ladies Kerry Washington, Viola Davis and Ellen Pompeo.

Each series returns to ABC for #TGIT Thursday, Sept. 24.

ABC/Adam Taylor(NEW YORK) -- Andy Grammer will be one of several singers competing this season on ABC's Dancing with the Stars, along with Backstreet Boy Nick Carter, R&B legend Chaka Khan, and reality star, talk show host and singer Tamar Braxton.  Andy says he feels his late mom would've wanted him to do the show, and he's dancing, in part, to honor her memory and feel close to her.

Andy posted a photo on Facebook of him as a kid, dancing with his mom, Kathryn, who died of breast cancer several years ago.  He wrote, "When I performed 'Honey, I'm Good' on Dancing with the Stars last season, it was obviously exciting and a thrill, but there was something extra and deeper about being there. Anyone who knew my mother, knows she LOVED dance. Anytime it came on the TV her eyes would light up and would get lost in the screen. I remember countless times sitting with her and listening to her say, 'My one regret in life is that I wish I had been a dancer.'"

Andy continues, "If you have lost someone close in your life, you know that it can be tough to stay/feel connected to those who pass on. Maybe you hear a song and it reminds you of them, or every time you eat a certain dish you feel their presence somehow. These things become really important in ways others might not understand. All I can say is that when I went in to do a rehearsal for DWTS last season, I was overcome with emotion and just barely kept my s**t together. She would have completely lost her mind to sit front row at Dancing With The Stars and I could feel that in my chest loud and clear."

"So this one is for you mom. I don't know how to dance, but I'm pretty sure that wherever you are it's going to make you very happy to see me try. I miss you, I love you, and I will be stretching my hammies to make you proud," he finished. "Game on."

As for his chances on the show, Andy tells Billboard, "There is no doubt about it. I don’t know how to dance and I don’t have any extra flexible skills. There is going to be a lot of molding."  But, he adds, "I still think I got a shot.”  He's paired with pro Alison Holker.

Andy will fit Dancing with the Stars in his touring schedule, according to Billboard, and he tells the publication he hopes to dance on the show to his new single, “Good to Be Alive.”  That track will appear on a new deluxe re-release of Andy's album Magazines or Novels, due November 6.

Peter Kramer/NBC(LOS ANGELES) -- Avril Lavigne and Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger have called it quits after two years of marriage. Avril officially announced their separation on Instagram Wednesday.

"It is with a heavy heart that Chad and I announce our separation today," she writes alongside a photo of them on their wedding day. "Through not only the marriage, but the music as well, we've created many unforgettable moments. We are still and forever will be, the best of friends, and will always care deeply for each other. To all our family, friends and fans, thank you sincerely for the support."

There were rumors that the couple was headed for divorce last year, but those claims were denied at the time. Earlier this year, Avril credited Chad with helping her through her battle with Lyme disease. The two had also reportedly just purchased a French-style California estate together.

The Canadian artists had been married since July 2013.

ABC/Ida Mae Astute(NEW YORK) -- The full cast of season 21 of ABC's Dancing with the Stars has finally been revealed. Don't Be Tardy star Kim Zolciak, singer Chaka Khan, jockey Victor Espinoza, and Bindi Irwin, the daughter of the late Crocodile Hunter star Steve Irwin, are among the celebrity contestants. They told ABC Radio why they decided to compete for the Mirrorball trophy.

"I've been asked a few times before to do the show," Zolciak explained. "[But] I just had had a baby or I'm filming Don't Be Tardy. This year the timing is perfect, and I'm excited. I'm up for a challenge. I'm not one that really can dance so it's a challenge. It's something new, fun. I'm super excited."

Khan, whose career has spanned four decades, said she joined the dance competition because she's "done everything else! You know, I thought why not? It'd be something new and interesting."

Espinoza is trying to repeat the success he's had as a jockey, riding Triple Crown winner American Pharoah, but admitted dancing is a bit out of his element. "I mean, it's different, something that I've never done before. And honestly, I've watched that show before and I was making fun of all the one's that starred [before] and look where I am!" Espinoza said, with a laugh. "Everyone's gonna make fun of me now."

Irwin isn't focusing on the competition -- right now, she told ABC Radio she's enjoying the camaraderie. "It is a real team effort and being able to work with such beautiful people; we're this huge family," she said. "It's not really that we're competing against each other. We're kind of just working together to achieve greatness to do the best job we can."

"This is such a new journey for me. I'm a girl from Australia, who lives in the middle of a zoo, trying to spread my message of wildlife and conservation," she added.

Also on Dancing with the Stars are husband and wife Carlos and Alexa PenaVega. The celebrity couple admitted it may be hard to turn off the competition at home, but explained why it was worth the risk.

"It's such a blessing that we can do it together because it's very taxing on the body and on any relationship. Because you're constantly in rehearsal, you're spending so much time away from your other half," said Carlos. "So the fact that she's next door and I can pop into rehearsal, it's amazing! And I know what's she going through. So I think having this experience and doing it together, and it's something we can share with our kids in the future; that was a big reason why we were like let's do this! Let's do it together."

Judges Julianne Hough, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba also will return to Dancing with the Stars. However, as previously announced, Len Goodman is sitting out this season.  Host Tom Bergeron told ABC Radio reports that Goodman is "leaving the show have been greatly exaggerated -- [it's] just for the fall."  So why is Goodman sitting out this season?

"That was because of the incredible burden really of judging the show in England, which Bruno still will be doing," explained Bergeron.  "Then he and Bruno in past seasons would fly all the way from London [to judge Strictly Come Dancing, the U.K. version of Dancing with the Stars] to the States, to L.A., do our show then fly right back to London. So Len decided he needed a break from that, but we have every hope that he'll back with us in the Spring..."

A rep for Goodman added he's taking time off due to the recent birth of his grandson. The show will feature guest judges in his place, though he's Goodman expected to pop up now and then this season.

Season 21 of Dancing with the Stars, co-hosted by Bergeron and Erin Andrews, premieres Sept. 14, on ABC at 8 p.m. Eastern.

Brian Bowen Smith/E!(NEW YORK) -- Just days from the one-year anniversary of Joan Rivers' death, daughter Melissa Rivers and her son Cooper have found a meaningful place to scatter the late star's ashes.

"Coop and I took our annual family vacation to Wyoming," the new Fashion Police co-host told Entertainment Tonight. "[The] first without my mom and scattered some of her ashes there so we can still be together every August as a family."

Joan died unexpectedly last September 4 at the age of 81.  Rivers shared how she and her son will mark Friday's one-year anniversary.

"Everyone expects me to have this big grand plan for the 4th and I am just going to be spending it with my son," she told ET. “He is going to go to school, I am going to go to work and come home and light a candle, and have a glass of wine."

Rivers recently returned to Fashion Police, which she executive produces, taking on the role of co-host after both Kelly Osbourne and Kathy Griffin exited the program earlier this year following Joan Rivers' death.

"I'm kind of a disaster this week," she confessed, adding "the greatest way to honor my mother's legacy is to keep going, because she was not a quitter."

Sony/Screen Gems(LONDON) -- Current James Bond author Anthony Horowitz has apologized after stating that British actor Idris Elba is too "street" to play 007 on the big screen.

"Idris Elba is a terrific actor, but I can think of other black actors who would do it better," Horowitz told the U.K.'s Daily Mail. "For me, Idris Elba is a bit too rough to play the part. It’s not a colour issue. I think he is probably a bit too 'street' for Bond. Is it a question of being suave? Yeah."

Instead, Horowitz said, he can see Hustle's Adrian Lester as Bond.

Horowitz has since issued an apology via Twitter. It reads:

“I’m really sorry my comments about Idris Elba have caused offence. That wasn’t my intention. I was asked in my interview if Idris Elba would make a good James Bond. In the article I expressed the opinion that to my mind Adrian Lester would be a better choice but I’m a writer not a casting director so what do I know? Clumsily, I chose the word ‘street’ as Elba’s gritty portrayal of DCI John Luther was in my mind but I admit it was a poor choice of word. I am mortified to have caused offence.”

Horowitz is the latest author to be tapped by Bond creator Ian Fleming's estate to continue writing novels about 007. Unlike the earliest Bond films, which were adaptations of Fleming's original novels, the latest Bond films -- with the exception of Casino Royale -- have been stories written specifically for the screen.

Disney Junior/Rick Rowell(LOS ANGELES) -- Kermit the Frog has moved on.

Photos of the Muppets star with his new girlfriend, Denise, were released Tuesday.

"The word is out: Kermit is seeing Denise," read a tweet from the Muppets Twitter account. "We're bracing for Miss Piggy's forthcoming wrath."

However, Kermit subsequently tweeted, “While I prefer to keep my personal life private, this is Hollywood, so who am I kidding? It is true that I am dating again. However, at this time no one woman-–pig or otherwise-–is my official ‘new girlfriend.’ We are simply close friends.”

Kermit and Miss Piggy announced in August that they were ending their relationship. The two will, however, work together on the ABC series The Muppets, which premieres September 22.

"Our personal lives," they said in a statement at the time, "are now distinct and separate, and we will be seeing other people, pigs, frogs, et al."

Miss Piggy isn't sitting around sulking, however. On Monday, The Hunger Games' Liam Hemsworth shared a photo of himself with her, calling Miss Piggy "the most beautiful girl in the world."

"Loved @LiamHemsworth, our latest guest coming to #TheMuppets," she added on her Twitter page. "Although, I had to explain that hunger is NEVER a game!"

Ida Astute/ABC(LOS ANGELES) -- Andrew Garfield was candid when asked about his experience taking on the role of The Amazing Spider-Man, calling the pressure "like a prison."

"I was well up for the challenge and I still am," Garfield told Indie Wire's the Playlist while promoting his new film 99 Homes, out September 25.

He continued, "The pressure to get it right, to please everyone...it's not going to happen...You end up pleasing no one, or everyone just a little bit. Like, 'Eh, that was good.'"

In fact, Garfield felt like even the marketing affects the art. "[It's] like 'We want 50-year-old white men to love it, gay teenagers to love it, bigot homophobes in Middle America to love it, 11-year-old girls to love it.' That's canning Coke," he added. "So that aspect of it was a bummer."

For Garfield, a rising star, he was upset that the hype and the marketing affected the "unique" project the cast and crew were trying to create.

"It was about authenticity, flavor, and truth, but at the same time, I understand people want to make a lot of money, and they're going to spend a lot of money so the playpen can be as big as it was. I can't live that way; it sounds like a prison, to be honest, living within those expectations," he said.

Tom Holland will take over as Spider-Man in next year's Captain America: Civil War.

Warner Bros.(NEW YORK) -- J.K. Rowling has conjured up more than a cauldron’s worth of emotions for Harry Potter fans after wishing James Sirius Potter a happy first day at Hogwarts.

The author took to Twitter to remind fans that, according to the novels’ timeline, today is the day Harry’s son would board the Hogwarts Express at platform 9 and three quarters.

"I'm in Edinburgh, so could somebody at King's Cross wish James S Potter good luck for me? He's starting at Hogwarts today," she tweeted.

Rowling first introduced James Sirius Potter in the epilogue of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. He is the first son of Harry and Ginny, named after Harry’s father James and late godfather, Sirius Black. And like any other 11-year-old British wizard, James would be heading to Hogwarts today, September 1.

In honor of the date, and inspired by Rowling’s tweet, #BackToHogwarts climbed to a top Twitter trend worldwide early Tuesday morning. Muggle and magical Harry Potter fans alike celebrated the anniversary of Harry, Ron, and Hermione’s first meeting.

About an hour after her first post, the world’s most successful author followed up with this tweet: "Now worried that he'll be irritated by the number of people saying hi."

NBCUniversal(LOS ANGELES) -- There are only four red chairs on The Voice, but if the show ever added another, who should sit in it? In a new video on TVLine.com, this season’s coaches reveal their dream picks for a fifth coach.

Both Adam Levine and Gwen Stefani think Bette Midler would make a great addition to the show. Gwen says the Divine Miss M is “somebody we’d love to get to know a little better,” and Adam agrees.

“She looks like the kind of lady that doesn’t take any s***, and I like that,” Adam says.

Gwen also suggests Barbra Streisand because, she says, “that is an artist that can do everything.”

The other two coaches, Blake Shelton and Pharrell Williams, are a little sillier with their fantasy choices. Blake wants model Kate Upton as the fifth judge -- because he’s “a fan” -- and Pharrell says he’d pick either Kermit the Frog or Krusty the Clown.

The ninth season of The Voice premieres Monday, September 21 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.

ABC/Lou Rocco(NEW YORK) -- Rihanna is planning her own beauty line.

While promoting her new RiRi perfume at a meet-and-greet Monday at Macy’s in Brooklyn, New York, The Barbadian singer said a line called Fenty Beauty is next in her business plan.

"That is definitely something I am going to have my hands on and would love to do,” she told Refinery29.com. “It’s something that I’ve always wanted to do, but I’ve always had so much on my hands. But, this time, I’m going to make sure it happens. I'm going to find some time between albums and fragrance to do that. I promise."

Rihanna has enjoyed great success in a variety of endorsements, including a MAC lipstick collection, a fashion line with River Island, and serving as the face of Christian Dior. As she envisions her own beauty line, she already ideas for the perfect products.

“Lashes that could just put themselves on,” she says. “Lipstick that doesn’t move, but doesn’t dry your lips out, that you don’t need a liner for."

Sony/Screen Gems(LONDON) -- If left up to current James Bond author Anthony Horowitz, British actor Idris Elba would never portray 007 on the big screen.

Yeah."

Unlike the earliest Bond films, which were adaptations of Fleming's original novels, the latest Bond films -- with the exception of Casino Royale -- have been stories written specifically for the screen.  And Horowitz doesn't agree with some of what he's been seeing of the next Bond film,Spectre.

"I’m looking at the trailer and I am seeing a photograph of Bond’s family. The mum and the dad are in there and their faces are missing because the picture has been burned in a fire. This is going to be to do with his family background, and I know the fans are all terribly excited to know more, but I’m saying, 'Don’t tell me, I don’t want to know,'" he said. "I don’t want to know about his doubts, his insecurities or weaknesses. I just want to see him act, kill, win."

At least Horowitz likes Daniel Craig, calling him "a terrific Bond."

Spectre isout November 6.

Eddy Chen/The CW(LOS ANGELES) -- Jaime King is still trying to comprehend that she's a mother to two boys.

The actress, who gave birth to her second son, Leo Thames, last month, told ABC News that having two children under the age of two is "surreal."  "It feels like I'm living in a dream," she said in Los Angeles last week. "I feel like I'm so blessed that I'm still not even processing the fact that I have another child."

King and her husband of seven years, Kyle Newman, welcomed their first child, James Knight, 22 months ago. At nearly two years old, King said he's "in this magic time where he's just discovering everything every minute."

Meanwhile, "Leo Thames is a beautiful newborn. He's very sweet and he sleeps and he eats and he does what newborns do," she dished. "I don't ever want to be away from either of them!"

This baby has a very special godmother in pop superstar Taylor Swift, one of King's closest friends.
